TrackBack new wave of spam to WordPress

O kay, the trackback spammers have new scripts that work now in WP 1.5x. Since I (because of the maintenance effort) is not a friend of blacklists and I'm also not rename system files like (for future upgrades), I looked around for a plugin that has already been set for the new spam-scripts - TB Spam Blocker 1.1.0 could be the solution. Let's see ...

/ / Edit: 6 hours later - the same TB spam coming through again, off TB spam blocker, now Spam Karma 2 installed.

    A combination of BadBehavior and Spam Karma works fine for most. Moreover, BB is not the dirty Refererstatistik.

    Good indication of BadBehavior I've also heard that many are using the. If the above plugin does not work, I'll try it out once. Otherwise I would have nothing against it if my Refererstatistik of "online poker" & Co. would be exempt - so I always have to scroll a mile long and remove the spammers from moderate impact on the "right" visitors.
