Firefox extension: multiple search fields at once
N User Maintenance of the Opera browser is known for some time: different search bars to variety of options are displayed for a time. In Firefox you had to always open a pull-down menu to switch to the respective search engine. This is now, thanks to the extension "toolbar Thinger" conclusion:
In principle, with the extension, any number of search fields are displayed, even across multiple toolbars. In practice, we should restrict ourselves to the 2, 3 frequently used (such as Google, Amazon and Leo), because it still possible to achieve additional search engines via the menus. Same as the new widescreen is harnessed.
By the way Thinger can do more to embed, for example, more bookmarks bars. So if many bookmarks multiline always want to have "in mind", this can now also easily organized.

Quick question, how old the record is here? You only get 29 January and no year indicated. The extension works but does not work with current versions of Firefox as it is apparently not continued since 2008.

Yes, this happens with FF addons ever. Some commentators write on the developer side, it works in her case - a quick test will show whether it works for your browser version. Otherwise, I personally find it much smarter to use the function, the FF has been built from home: to define keyboard shortcuts for most search engines themselves.
