Espresso machines at Stiftung Warentest
J

a, I am a Espressofan. So I resorted to the December issue of the Foundation Warentest, were tested in the espresso machines and espresso coffee. The first place has made the "Jura Impressa F50". Point, however, costs about 900 €. Since there is no consolation to me that this machine in the Ulmer household business "abbot" only costs € 876 and the saleswoman suggested me to buy the Jura machines with the higher model number, for example, have an LED display . Even espresso machine # 2, the AEG CaFamosa moves in the 800-euro segment. Of course, I know, true fans also like to spend 1400 or 1600 €. But I do not.
On page 64 I will test issue but still find it, was allowed to speak at an "edge machine" that does not participate in the trial of the "big boys" because they "just" a screener is. But she brews the second best (!) Espresso machines being tested by all. My small little machine, which stands for 1 year in my kitchen! The "Krups Espresso Novo Plus" for ridiculous € 150. So when saving 'some I just € 700 and I'm happy with second place.
By the way: The espresso coffees, ranking 1 "illy caffé macinato" (250 grams for 5.50 euros). Well, I think I will stay closer to the variety "Milano" from "Henry's World Coffee," which is represented with three coffee bars in Ulm.

Hello
Your info is intersting to see me
I have a question about the machine, how well does the milk foam?
Since my wife is on Cappuccione
I am grateful for the answer in advance
Unfortunately I can not say anything because I do not use the nozzle (for milk froth I take a different device). Warentest Foundation has made only one statement on the espresso flavor - the Krups milk foam was not assessed.
Is it possible to assess espresso coffee powder at all objective. I mean, it's a matter of personal taste - like so many things in this world.
My favorite brand is a product of Lavazza. I just do not know the name of the variety as I reach only into the shelf and take me out to the package.
I wanted a "Krups Espresso Novo Plus" had to buy but found that there are a whole series of model numbers. Among other things, NOVO PLUS FNC 154, 2000 Plus, 2200 Plus or 2300 Plus. What's the difference?
Or differ only by the case?
